Not sure where to start...
« on: November 19, 2009, 05:28:22 PM »
Im trying to search for the anwser but not having much luck.  Could someone point me in the right direction please.  I dont mind researching how to fix it, just having trouble locating anything helpful.  Thanks!

I am running
SMF 2.0 RC2 | SMF
SimplePortal 2.3.1

I have these addons
1.     Users Online Today     1.5.5
2.    Aeva ~ Auto-Embed Video & Audio
3.    SMF Media Gallery    2.0.3
4.    SimplePortal    2.3.1

Everything works great, except for mass upload.  After the files are selected, it just hangs.  It never starts.

The only issue is with the mass upload tool?

Perhaps provide a phpinfo() function sheet...?

Yes, single upload and FTP upload work fine.
I made three as my host FAQs directed.  Dont know much about PHP so Im not sure which one you need.

What does the mod_security test feature tell you?

Edit: hmm never mind, it's not needed on your site. I don't know. What does the error log say?

Cant find a log specifically for Gallery.

Under Administration Center » Gallery » Maintenance » Find Errors - There are no errors found.

No... The general SMF error log. Make sure it's enabled, of course.

Gotcha.  I tried to upload via mass upload then checked the error logs.  Nothing.  Not a single error.

Once I select the files and click upload you can see in the status bar it says "Waiting for www.CrawlinRocks.com"  After about 10 seconds it says done.  Like the connection went through but nothing happens.

Well... Is safe mode enabled? What does the mod_security test say? (Even if I know the answer in advance...)
Any special .htaccess?

Under Gallery>Settings>Config > Fix URLs for mod_security is set to "no"

The test says I do not need it.

And what about php safe mode? (look at the credits area)
.htaccess can be anywhere from your forum root to your website root.

Support Information
Version Information:
Forum version: SMF 2.0 RC2 (more detailed)
Current SMF version: SMF 2.0 RC2
GD version: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
MySQL version: 5.0.81-log
PHP: 4.4.9
Server version: Apache

That what your looking for?  I dont see anything about a safe mode at all.

The only .htaccess I can find has this in it.
Quote
<Files *>
   Order Deny,Allow
   Deny from all
   Allow from localhost
</Files>

Use a more recent version of SMG2...
Also, you should switch to PHP5, it's much better/safer than PHP4 now.

Thanks for all the help.
